Coincidence or Miracle?

My father-in-law, Shortly, was admitted to the hospital on August 21, 2003. When I arrived at his room on the 21st, he was out for testing.  I went to get something to eat, and I left my business card (ReikiMaster/ Reikidrumbeat )on the hospital table. The odd thing about this is that Shortly is legally blind.  He has about 10% vision left.  He could not and did not see the card at any time while he was in the hospital.

Shortly was discharged on Monday, August 25th after tests galore. On Thursday, August 28, I received a phone call. The caller was a nurse at the hospital (I'll call her Peggy) who  had found my card in the room Shortly had occupied -- this was 3 days after his discharge!!!!!

Peggy  took the card to another nurse, who, as it happens, is a Reiki 1.  The nurse to whom she took the card, (I'll call her Sally) knew me, but she did not know I had studied Reiki or become a Reiki Master.  I did not know Sally  had become a Reiki 1 practitioner. Sally and I had not seen each other for over three years -- since I had left my employment as a Certified Addictions Counselor at the hospital.  Sally  spoke highly of me, and urged Peggy  to call me.

Peggy  had seen her mother die of cancer, and watched her  being given  Reiki treatments. Peggy's mother had taken no pain meds until a week before her death, which mystified Peggy and most of the hospital staff.

Peggy was having some emotional problems, and, although she did not believe in Reiki, she felt that finding my card was a powerful sign to take action. She scheduled a Reiki treatment with me for her next day off.  We talked before the treatment about her hesitation to accept Reiki, as well as her disparaging the treatments her mother was receiving.

Peggy was surprised and pleased to find that she did "feel something" during the treatment. She has scheduled three more treatments for the next three weeks.

How many "coincidences" are involved in me leaving my card for a blind relative, Peggy finding the card three days after his discharge, and then  taking it to another nurse who knows me personally -- well enough to recommend me, even though she did not know I had become a Reiki master!!?

This is one more Reiki miracle for me, and I wanted to share it with you,

Cat Coley
